Text from photos
Capture text with the camera or from a photo, crop to the part you want, and the recognized text lands in the note. Optional AI clean-up.
Updated for iOS 1.65
Text from photos
Design Intent: A photo of a whiteboard, a menu or a page becomes text you can edit, in the note you are already in.
Capturing
- Capture text on the quickbar opens the camera; Capture from image picks from your photo library. The orb menu's Image and Camera make a new note the same way, as do the Photo Note widget and the Capture Text control.
- A Crop step follows: drag the corners around the text you want, or Reset. The recognized text is inserted at the cursor ("Extracted text").
- Recognition runs on the device. Optionally the result can be tidied by your AI provider: Settings › AI › Photo Capture Cleanup › Polish Extracted Text.
- Text from photos is part of the Lifetime license.
