The code keyword syntax-highlights a note; backticks and the Code block button fence code inside an ordinary note.

Design Intent: Sometimes the scratch is code. Keep it readable without leaving the notepad.

Using it

  • Type code on the first line and the note is syntax-highlighted.
  • In an ordinary note, wrap a word in backticks for inline code, or use the Code block button (quickbar or Format keyboard) to fence the current lines in triple backticks. Fenced lines are left alone by checklists and keywords.
