Checkboxes, bullets and numbers

Design Intent: A list is just lines that start with a marker. Type the marker and Antinote draws the rest; delete the marker and it is text again.

Markers

  • Start a line with - [ ] for a checkbox (- [x] checked), - for a bullet, or 1. for a numbered item. Loose spellings like [] or -[ ] are tidied into a checkbox as you type.
  • Return continues the list at the same indent. Return on an empty item ends the list.
  • Tap a box to check it. The quickbar's Checklist, List, Numbered list and Cycle list type buttons convert the current lines.

Reordering

  • Press and hold a checkbox or bullet, then drag it to a new position. Indented sub-items travel with it. Move line up / down and Indent / Outdent are on the quickbar and the Format keyboard too.

List notes

  • Type list on the first line and every line after it becomes a checklist item without typing markers. Headings (#) and comments (//) stay as they are. See List.

What happens to checked items

  • By default a checked item stays where it is. It can instead move to the bottom of the list or be deleted; the quickbar's Move checked items and Delete checked items do the same on demand.
