Select mode
Select mode picks whole lines with a tap or a drag, then copies, cuts, deletes, moves, indents, groups or shuffles them all at once, with its own undo.
Updated for iOS 1.65
Select mode
Design Intent: Selecting text on a phone is fiddly. Select mode selects whole lines with a tap, then acts on all of them at once.
Picking lines
- Tap the Select mode quickbar button, or swipe left on the orb. The keyboard steps aside and every line gets a circle; tap lines to pick them, or drag down the circles to pick a run. Select all and Select none are on the bar.
- Press and hold a picked line to drag it to a new position.
- Select mode will not start on a read-only note.
Acting on them
- The default bar has Copy, Cut, Delete, Move up and Move down. Also available: Indent, Outdent, Checklist, List, Numbered list, Duplicate, Group at top, Group at bottom, Randomize, Select all, Select none.
- The bar has its own undo and redo. Picks are undoable too.
- Tap Edit select bar to choose which actions are on the bar and drag them into order; Reset to default puts the five originals back.
