Swipe left and right to move through the note stack, pull past the top or bottom for a new note or the latest one, and reorder the stack from Search.
Updated for iOS 1.65
Navigation
Design Intent: Navigating Antinote should feel like flipping through your short-term memory: one gesture, no lists to scan.
Swipe between notes
- Swipe left anywhere on the note for the next, newer note; swipe right for the previous, older one. A swipe commits once it has travelled about a third of the screen, or on a quick flick.
- Swiping left past the newest note creates a new blank note ("New note created"). If the newest note is already blank you see "Already at latest" instead.
- Swiping right at the oldest note shows "No older notes".
- An empty note is deleted when you swipe away from it. Slotted notes are never deleted this way.
- Locked notes can be swiped past without unlocking them.
Go to latest
- Jumps to the newest note from anywhere in the stack: orb menu › Latest, swipe right on the orb, or pull up past the bottom of a note (the defaults for those gestures).
- Pills: "Jumped to latest" or "Already on latest".
- ⌘ + 1 Go to latest (hardware keyboard)
Pull past the edges
- Pull down past the top of a note to start a new one; pull up past the bottom to go to the latest. A badge grows as you pull and lights up when releasing will fire it.
- Both are reassignable in Settings › Gestures — see Gestures.
Where the cursor goes
- By default a note you swipe to does not take the keyboard until you tap it. Turn on "Focus the note after switching to it" to start typing straight away, and "Focus the note when Antinote opens" to open with the keyboard up.
- A note you create yourself always opens with the keyboard up.
Settings
Reordering the stack
- Open Search with no query to see the stack newest first. Drag a note (list or grid view) to move it in the stack.
