Backups and restore

Antinote keeps rolling backups on the device. Restore one from Settings › Notes; it applies on the next launch.

Updated for iOS 1.65

Backups and restore

Design Intent: Sync is not a backup. A backup is a copy from before the mistake.

Automatic backups

  • Antinote keeps a rolling set of backups of its database on the device, at the interval you choose.

Restoring

  • Settings › Notes › Restore from a backup… lists them. Restoring replaces the current notes on the next launch: choose Restore, close Antinote from the app switcher, and open it again.
  • With iCloud sync on, choose Turn Off iCloud Sync & Restore so the restored notes are not immediately overwritten by the cloud copy.
Settings
  • Notes › Auto-backups to keep Number
  • Notes › Backup interval 10 mins … 1 month / Never
  • Notes › Restore from a backup…
